Love Has No Boundaries – Part 2

“Many waters cannot quench love; rivers cannot sweep it away…” – Song of Solomon 8:7 (NIV)

In the Bible, we find that water symbolises chaos, trials, judgement, or overwhelming circumstances: flood waters (Genesis 7), the deep waters of trouble (Psalm 69:1-2), and rivers of opposition (Isaiah 43:2) are some examples.

No amount of suffering, failure, distance, or sin can extinguish true covenant love. God’s love is not limited by time, culture, status, distance, circumstances, or failure. From the Prophets to Christ, God’s love crosses every boundary. His love extends beyond the cross. Jeremiah spoke hope beyond destruction (Jeremiah 29:11). Hosea loved beyond betrayal (Hosea 3:1-3). Jesus allowed Himself to be crucified for our sins (Luke 22:39-44, Luke 23:44-47).

What God seals in love, no storm or time can erase, and no price can buy. This mirrors God’s declaration/promise: “When you pass through the water, I will be with you…” (Isaiah 43:2 – NIV). Rivers represent time, pressure, persecution, and spiritual opposition. Romans 8:38-39 declares that nothing can separate us from the love of God. What a message!

The truth is: love that comes from  God is not confined by borders of brokenness, or barriers, it flows freely, faithfully and forever. No matter the distance, the hurt or the obstacles, His love remains unstoppable. God’s love reaches beyond every limit, restores what is broken and preserves when all seems lost. Indeed, it has no boundary!

Declaration:

I declare that love has no boundaries in my life. I will love and love freely, faithfully, and fearlessly, just as God’s unending love flows toward me. Nothing can quench it, nothing can take it away. Amen!
